Architectural salt

Salt bricks and tiles for salt rooms.

Saw-cut Himalayan salt in the standard 8″ × 4″ face, for halotherapy rooms, spa feature walls, saunas, and salt-ageing chambers. Tell us the wall area and we will work the piece count and weight back for you — or use the planner below to size it yourself.

How much do I need?

Tile — 8″ × 4″ × 1″
approx. 48 pieces and 58 kg per m² of wall face
Brick — 8″ × 4″ × 2″
approx. 48 pieces and 110 kg per m² of wall face
Allowance
add 10% for cuts, breakage, and spares
Worked example
a 12 m² feature wall in 1″ tile ≈ 640 pieces ≈ 770 kg, wastage included

Figures are calculated from the face dimensions and are for planning only. Salt is a natural material and pieces vary, so confirm the final count against your own setting-out drawing before ordering.

Where these are used

Halotherapy salt rooms

Full wall and ceiling cladding, usually in 1″ tile for backlighting, with loose 2–5 mm crystal on the floor.

Spa and sauna feature walls

Backlit panels behind loungers or reception. The 1″ tile transmits light; 2″ brick reads as solid stone.

Restaurants and hospitality

Feature walls, bar fronts, and salt-ageing chambers for meat, where the wall is also functional.

Retail and residential

Accent walls, alcoves, and niches. Smaller orders ship on a pallet rather than in a container.
