How many salt bricks do I need for a salt room wall?

An 8″ × 4″ face covers about 0.021 m², so roughly 48 pieces cover one square metre of wall laid tight. Add about 10% for cuts, breakage, and spares. A 12 m² wall in 1″ tile works out at roughly 640 pieces, about 770 kg.

What is the difference between 1 inch tiles and 2 inch bricks?

The 1″ tile transmits light and is the usual choice for a backlit wall. The 2″ brick is heavier and reads as solid stone, and is normally used where the wall is not lit from behind. Both share the same 8″ × 4″ face, so they lay out on the same grid.

Can you ship less than a full container of salt tiles?

Yes. Fit-out quantities ship palletised as LCL rather than as a full container load. A single room typically fits on one or two pallets.

Do you deliver salt tiles duty paid to Europe?

Yes. We can quote delivered duty paid to your address, so you do not need to arrange customs clearance or an import licence yourself. We can also quote FOB or CIF if you prefer to handle clearance.
